Fishkill Residents receive special pricing for lessons and rentals at Thunder Ridge Ski Area.

Lessons are for skiers and snowboarders, ages 8 and up.

NEW REGISTRATION PROCEDURE

• First, obtain a discount coupon through Fishkill Recreation. This coupon is required to receive the discounted rate when registering for classes on the Thunder Ridge website.
• Thunder Ridge will open registration on December 17.
• To have the best chance of securing your preferred time slots, get your discount coupon now using the link below so you are ready to register as soon as registration opens on December 17.

LESSON OPTIONS:

1. Lift & Lesson:
   1. $570.00 for six 1½ hour group lessons
   2. (includes lift ticket during lesson and remainder of evening)*
2. Lift, Lesson & Rentals:
   1. $738.00 for six 1½ hour group lessons
   2. (includes lift ticket & rental equipment during lesson and remainder of evening)*
3. Season Passholder Lesson Only:
   1. $378.00 for six 1½ hour group lessons
   2. (Only available to Thunder Ridge Season Passholders)

​All students regardless of age and ability must purchase a pre-paid 6-week lift ticket or Season Pass at time of registration for lesson package. 

There is no guarantee the students will ride up the chairlift
Parents and siblings may ski or ride and rent at the discount price any night their child or sibling is in a 6-week open enrollment lesson:

• Lift Ticket Only: $45 per night 
• Rental Equipment: $40 per night

• Mondays: 5:30pm-7:00pm
• ​Tuesdays: 5:30pm-7:00pm
• Wednesday: 5:30pm-7:00pm
• Thursdays: 5:30pm-7:00pm
• Fridays: 5:30pm-7:00pm
• Saturdays: 3:30pm-5:00pm
• Sundays: 3:30pm-5:00pm

PROGRAM SPECIFICS:

• This is a 6-week program. Lessons are 90 minutes. Programs start Saturday, January 3rd through Friday, January 9th, 2026.
• Program is for Ages 8 and up (no exceptions) – skiing or snowboarding.
• Monday-Friday evenings 5:30pm, Saturday 3:30pm, Sunday 3:30.
• Regardless of ability, you MUST attend the 1st lesson – No exceptions.
• Week One is an evaluation week; students will be evaluated and grouped according to their ability level.
• Lessons begin promptly at start time chosen.  Students need to be ready and out on the snow 10 minutes prior to the start of the lesson. Please allow enough time to arrive, check-in, and boot-up.  Missed class time is not made up or extended.
• Based on age, ability and conditions, evening lessons may take place on You Can Do It, Movin Up and/or Little Thunder. There is no guarantee the students (8yrs+) will ride up the chairlift.
• Time and day may not be changed once the program begins.
• There are NO refunds on this program.
• This program may run into and during President’s Week, if necessary.
• 6 perfect weather days are not always possible so the program will run snow, cold, rain or shine.
• There are NO makeups for missed classes.
• In the event that the program is postponed by Thunder Ridge for any reason, the lesson will be rescheduled by Thunder Ridge.
• All students regardless of age and ability must purchase a pre-paid 6-week lift ticket or Season Pass at time of registration for lesson package. They will NOT be sold the night of the lesson.  Lift Tickets are valid on the day of the lesson only.
• Lift tickets are valid from 2:45pm till the remainder of the evening on the day of your lesson. *We close on Sundays at 5pm.  Your ticket included with the lesson is available at 2:45pm and is an evening ticket only.  If you wish to come earlier, you will need to pay the full rate for the available day or afternoon ticket.
• You will receive ONE lift ticket valid for all 6 weeks of the program. Please make sure to have your ticket with you each week. We advise you to put the ticket on snowpants as kids often change jackets. *There will be a $5.00 replacement fee for re-issued tickets.
• If you are renting from Thunder Ridge, we offer the opportunity to be pre-fitted for your rental equipment prior to the start of the program to help streamline the day one check in process.
• Helmets are recommended for all Snowsports programs. WE DO NOT RENT HELMETS.
• All communication regarding program changes will be done via email.
