Inclement Weather Notice

PLEASE SEE THE PROCEDURE THAT PERTAINS TO YOU BELOW:

PROGRAMS HOSTED BY FISHKILL RECREATION:

In case of inclement weather call the Recreation Center at 845-831-3371.

IF NO ANSWER: Listen to the ENTIRE voice message carefully in case there are instructions regarding rescheduling or moving any sport event indoors.

HEAT INDEX PROCEDURE for Sport Events:
(Summer time)

If it is too hot to play outdoors, we may cancel games outdoors.  Please see the "INCLEMENT WEATHER PROCEDURE AND NOTIFICATION" above to find out the status. 
Our procedure (based on the NYSPHSAA) for determining whether it is too hot to play is as follows:

The Heat Index (Real Feel) temperature will be checked within 2 hours before the start of the scheduled activity.

If Real Feel is;

• 91-95 degrees: We may still play. League Directors will make a decision.
  
• 96 degrees or greater: WE WILL NOT PLAY.
  

AccuWeather will be our official site for determining the Heat Index temperature.

IF YOU ARE RENTING SPACE FROM US:

We will do our best to be here for you during inclement weather.

If we cancel on you due to weather related issues, we will credit or refund you the money you paid.  We will notify you if we plan to cancel.


IF YOU ARE A PARTICIPANT IN A PROGRAM THAT IS RENTING SPACE:

If you are a participant in a program renting space from us: Please contact the instructor or group leader you registered with.
