Schools are closed and now summer day camps are in question. In an effort to monitor what the comfort level and demand of our community is in regard to summer camp, please complete the survey above.
Additional Information:
Registration for camp this year is still open. You can register now and pay later due to the uncertainty in this difficult time.
At this time, a decision on whether camp can open has not been decided. We are working closely with the Department of Health and hope to have a decision within the next week or two. What we do know: If camp can open, it will be a significantly different camp than you are used to. It will be a very restricted version and closer to a day care center. I listed some of those restrictions below.

What we do know: If camp can open, it will be a significantly different camp than you are used to. It will be a very restricted version and closer to a day care center. I listed some of those restrictions below.
- Camp will not open until after July 1st at the earliest.
- The size of the camp will be limited.
- We may be forced to relocate the camp to Geering Park. Or the Recreation Center IF it is available.
- Camp trips would cancelled.
- Campers will be “socially distanced” both as groups and as individuals within the groups.
- Any activities (tag games, basketball, soccer, etc) that can not be played while social distancing would be eliminated.
- Daily health checks of campers and staff will be required. Temperatures would need to be taken every day upon arrival and four hours later.
- Potentially infected individuals would need to be immediately quarantined and sent home.
- Staff (and maybe campers) will have to wear personal protective equipment.
- Disinfection of facilities and equipment will occur frequently.
- Personal hygiene practices will be enforced.
- Those in vulnerable populations (i.e. severe asthma, compromised immune systems, etc.) will be strongly discouraged from being in camp
Please help us by clicking on the link above to let us know how you feel about sending your child to camp this summer.
