Get ready for an exciting summer of basketball fun with the Rookie Basketball League! Designed for boys and girls entering 1st and 2nd grade, this program introduces young athletes to the fundamentals of the game in a supportive and engaging environment.
Each weekly session is structured into two key segments:
🏀 Instruction & Skill Development – Our experienced coaches will teach essential basketball skills, including dribbling, passing, shooting, and teamwork, all in a fun and encouraging way.
🏀 Game Play – After the instructional segment, players will be divided into teams and get the chance to put their new skills into action in a friendly and exciting game setting.
The Rookie Basketball League is the perfect opportunity for young players to build confidence, develop teamwork, and foster a love for the game. Whether your child is a beginner or has some experience, this league is all about learning, playing, and having fun!

REGISTRATION DATES:
- Fishkill Residents: Registration begins January 27
- Non-Residents: Registration begins February 14
DETAILS:
- Open to Boys & Girls Entering 1st & 2nd Grade
- July 11 - August 8
- Saturday Mornings
- Located at the Fishkill Recreation Center
- 5 Sessions (1.25 hrs each)
- Weekly clinic w/ scrimmages
FEE:
- Residents: $100 Per Player
- Non-Residents: $110 per player
- Late Fee: $25 applied after May 15th (If space is still available)
- Administrative Fee: A $5 non-refundable administrative fee will be applied to all cancellations and registration changes, including team adjustments after initial rosters are developed. This fee helps cover processing, staffing, and administrative costs associated with managing teams and schedules. We appreciate your understanding.
REFUNDS:
- Refunds can only be given if a player withdraws prior to the refund date listed when the preliminary schedule is posted.
- Refunds are not given if a player withdraws after the refund date.
- Administrative Fee: A $5 non-refundable administrative fee will be applied to all cancellations and registration changes, including team adjustments after initial rosters are developed. This fee helps cover processing, staffing, and administrative costs associated with managing teams and schedules. We appreciate your understanding.
- The "Merchant Service Charge" applied to credit/debit card transaction can not be refunded no matter what the reason.
