- Proof of residency is required to register during the resident-only registration period.
- Once your residency has been verified, it will be recorded in your account, so you won’t need to provide documentation each time you sign up.
- Please note that we may request updated proof of residency during our routine record maintenance.
- Falsification of residency documentation may result in removal from programs and forfeiture of fees.
- Resident Definition:
- Residency is defined as a permanent, primary dwelling within the city/town limits.
- A resident is someone who pays their home property taxes to the Town of Fishkill.
- Temporary stays or short-term leases may not qualify.
- Accepted Forms of Proof:
- Valid driver’s license or state-issued ID card (issued within past 12 months)
- Property tax bill (current)
- Residential lease agreement (current, signed & dated)
- Current mortgage statement
- Recent utility bill (electric, gas, water, internet – dated within 90 days)
- Voter registration card
- Vehicle registration (current)
- P.O. boxes are not accepted as proof of residency.
