A Traveling Camp just for 12 to 15 year olds!
Must be 12 to 15 between June 1 and September 1.
Every day the Campers get on a bus and go somewhere different! Every day is a new experience. Everything is geared around their age group. This is not an Arts and Crafts kind of camp, but a traveling one instead.
In 2005, this camp filled up in 2 days. In 2006, it filled up in 45 minutes. This is a very popular camp.
There are two sessions, each two weeks long. You may sign up for one session or both.
New in 2008 - Each session will be limited to 30 campers.
There will be a Director and two Assistants from the Recreation Staff. We will ask for a parent volunteer for each trip. Volunteer tickets will be paid for by the Town.
Where: Pick up and drop off will be at Geering Park, Fishkill
The hours change daily, depending on the trip.
Rain Days: We intend on going on all of our trips. It might not be raining at our destination.
Registration: Walk-in Registration Only. Residents and nonresidents at the Town Hall, Saturday, March 1st. Doors will open at 9:30am. No mail-in registrations. Remember - it fills up quickly!
You may only register for your own camper and the camper’s friend. All paper work must be signed by the Camper’s own parents.
Camp T-shirts will be required by both the Camper and the Parent Volunteer but is NOT included in the cost. $15 per shirt.
Physicals are required for this Camp
Camp Physicals
Any campers who attended a Fishkill Recreation Camp in 2007 do not need to submit a new form unless the camper has had updated immunizations since last year. we have 2007's Camper Physicals on file. We do not have physicals from previous years. if you did not attend Camp last year OR if your child requires medication, you must have your doctor fill out a Medical Form.
Immunizations must include: Haemophilus influenza type b (Hib), hepatitus b, varicella (chicken pox). Please note that Hib is not required by the school districts but is required to attend Camp.
This form must be signed by your physician. Signature stamp will not be valid.
This form is required by the Board of Health for only those children attending the Day Camp, Senior Camp, and/or Teen Travelers.
This form must be returned to Fishkill Recreation by June 15th.
No child will be allowed to attend Camp until the Town Hall Recreation Department has received the mandatory forms.
