WHAT: A Camp for kids going into 6th, 7th, & 8th grade.
In the past we have had these campers with the younger campers. Now we are able to put together a program for just their age.
This is not a sports camp. This camp will have a bit of arts and crafts along with a lot of supervised running around. They will go on trips, without the "little kids."
They will be the SENIOR CAMPERS!
PURPOSE: The focus of this camp will be directed toward the interest of the 6-8th grader. It is "THEIR CAMP." It will be what they make of it. Unlike the camps that they are used to, where they are told when to play this and when to play that, campers will have a choice in the matter. They will be involved in choosing what games, sports, and any other activities they want to participate in. Want to have a basketball tournament? They will be involved in planning, organizing, carrying out, and participating in it. How about a Talent Show? Sure why not?
At this age, children like to have their freedom, make their own decisions, and feel "grown up." This will be an excellent way to do that in a supervised environment.
WHERE: Maurer Geering Park.
HOURS:
8:30am to 2:30pm, Monday through Friday
RAIN DAYS: We make every effort to be there. However, we will have to close for inclement weather.
COST: Cost includes a camp T-shirt, trip transportation, and trip ticket.

Camp Medical Forms
Any campers who attended a Fishkill Recreation Camp in 2007 do not need to submit a new form unless the camper has had updated immunizations since last year. we have 2007's Camper Physicals on file. We do not have physicals from previous years. if you did not attend Camp last year OR if your child requires medication, you must have your doctor fill out a Medical Form.
Immunizations must include: Haemophilus influenza type b (Hib), hepatitus b, varicella (chicken pox). Please note that Hib is not required by the school districts but is required to attend Camp.
This formmmust be signed by your phyisician. Signature stamp will not be valid.
This form is required by the Board of Health for only those children attending the Day Camp, Senior Camp, and/or Teen Travelers.
This form must be returned to Fishkill Recreation by June 15th.
No child will be allowed to attend Camp until the Town Hall Recreation Department has recieved the mandatory forms.
