LEAGUE DESCRIPTION:
Physicals are NOT needed for Basketball
Basketball League for Boys and Girls entering 5th-10th Grade.
INCLUDED:10 Games plus 3 Orientation Sessions
LOCATION: Fishkill Recreation Center and possibly Geering Park
DESCRIPTION:
The Town of Fishkill is pleased to offer an expanded program.
Each division will get 10 games and an additional 3 orientation sessions prior to the start of the season.
ORIENTATION SESSIONS: June 5th, 12th, & 19th
This will introduce players to the coaches and administration. It will also allow all of our coaches to
objectively evaluate the talent and divide teams.
PRACTICES: June 21st-24th
Introductory practices begin this week. Players will meet their assigned coaches and their teammates.
After this week, the coaches will make the practice schedules at their own discretion throughout the
season.
GAMES: July 6th-August
Monday through Thursday evenings. Saturdays if needed.
The goal is to play 10 games with the possibility of playoffs. Game times will be determined post
registration when appropriate age divisions can be made up.
VOLUNTEER COACHES:
Volunteers are needed to run this program. If you would like to apply to be a volunteer coach, please
fill out the Coaching application form and send it to Fishkill Recreation.

Each team in the same conference will play each other twice and will play each team from the opposite conference once for a total of 10 games. Top teams in each conference make the Playoffs.

JR LEAGUE: consists of the 5th-7th Graders plus the 8th Grade Girls JV LEAGUE: consists of the 8th-10th Graders You may view or print in either "Week", "Month" or "Agenda" view.

We will attempt to send out an email and post information on the website in case of inclement weather, however, I will not always be at a computer where I can access that.
In case of inclement weather call the Recreation Center at 845-831-3371 and ask the person that answers the phone.
IF NO ONE ANSWERS, he/she may be on the other line. Listen to the voice message. Please listen to the message carefully. There may be directions that indicate the game being moved to the Rec Center instead.

WEATHER CANCELLATION NUMBER: 845-831-3371
In case of inclement weather, games may be cancelled. If the games are
cancelled, we will leave a message saying so on 831-3371. The message would
not be posted until at least after 5:00 PM. If you call and there is no
cancellation, it is a good idea to keep trying back until it is time to
leave for the game in case the status changes.
