Summer Hoops & Basketball Camps 2008
Physicals are NOT needed for Basketball
The following summer Basketball Programs for the Town of Fishkill are free. Participation is limited. The Program is funded by the Dutchess County Youth Bureau. Click on the registration link to the left for information on how to register.
Basketball Camp
This program, held at Wappingers Junior High, is available to boys and girls between the ages of 7 and 12 years old who would like to improve their basketball skills - dribbling, passing, shooting, team participation and sportsmanship.
Camp will run for 5 days: July 7 – July 11 (Monday - Friday)
7 - 9 years 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM
10 - 12 years 10:30 AM - 12:00 NOON
Participation is limited.
Boys Basketball League -
The summer league is open to boys entering the 8th, 9th, & 10th grades. They play Monday and Wednesday nights at Geering Park, June 30 through July. Game times are to be determined. Each player will receive a team shirt.
Participation is limited, signup early to get a spot.
Girls Basketball League- Participation limited, signup on first come first serve basis
The girls league is open to girls entering the 6th, 7th and 8th grades. They play Tuesday and Thursday nights at the Geering Park basketball court, July 1 through July 31. Game times are to be determined. Each player will receive a team shirt. Participation is limited, signup early to get a spot.
Mail In Registration begins March 7 OR you may come to the Fishkill Town Hall on Saturdays April 26 and May 17 between 10:00 AM and 12:00 Noon. Registration must be completed by June 1.
Boys League Details
WEATHER CANCELLATION NUMBER: 845-831-3371
In case of inclement weather, games may be cancelled. If the games are
cancelled, we will leave a message saying so on 831-3371. The message would
not be posted until at least after 5:00 PM. If you call and there is no
cancellation, it is a good idea to keep trying back until it is time to
leave for the game in case the status changes.
