ACTIVITY DESCRIPTIONS:

Session I

ARTS AND CRAFTS – Ever popular, this session’s crafts will incorporate Imagination and Creativity!!  Make sure your creative spirit signs up before the activity fills up.  You might want to send a “smock” every week.  Paint does not come off of the clothes.

CARS, CARS, CARS and a little more.  We will be racing Radio Controlled Cars, building cars out of food, finding the best design for paper airplanes, building race tracks and ramps.  This should be a very popular and ACTIVE activity.  Something for everyone.

PIE MAKING - A different pie every week! – even a pizza pie.  We will be making graham cracker crusts, roll out crusts, lattice tops and crumbley tops.  There will be fruit pies, pecan pies, S’more pies, and more pies.  Your budding chef will really enjoy learning how to make great pies -  and the family will be able to enjoy the “fruits” of their labors.

DRAMA – We haven’t put on a play for a long time.  We are not sure which one we will do because we need to know how many actors we will have.  Please note:  Putting on a play is a team effort.  We need everyone to learn their part because everyone is a star!   Parents, please do not pick up your budding Broadway star until 5:15.  We need everyone to stay and rehearse.  When actors leave it is very hard to practice the play.

BASEBALL – What would fall be without Baseball.  We will be going over skills and drills.  This will be a non-competitive activity with emphasis on good sportsmanship and team playing.

We expect a big turn out for this, so don’t wait to sign up!

NOTE:  Just a reminder that these activities are mostly for recreational purposes.  We hope to introduce many different themes that children might not otherwise have the opportunity to be exposed to.  We try to gear each day’s events around small children’s attention span.  Therefore, you should not expect your child to become an expert in his/her chosen activity.  Our focus is for the children to have fun.
